Epic fail. I thought Maximo was on the 17th, not the 7th, and was so sure of this fact, that I didn't check the date on the ticket *facepalm* putting that down to karma for blagging my way into the Maximo gig last time they came though haha

...To the bits of your legs that feel like they are going to turn into mush haha.

Maximo was absolutely incredible, Yes, I admit, I only knew the stuff from the first album offhand bar the singles for OEP. But what a gig it was, and to think, it all happened because I managed to lie my arse off at the signing in HMV haha.

Me: (After 3 out of 5 of maximo had played 2 songs, semi acoustically) *little "salute type... thing" that I do as a sign of approval*
Then, waited in the queue to get OEP and Quicken the Heart signed. got up to them.

Me: "That was immense, I'm just gutted I can't go to the gig tonight =["
Duncan: " How come"
Me: "My mate's managed to lose my ticket. [3 second pause...] you wouldn't be able to get me on the guestlist, would you?"
Duncan: "I'm pretty sure we can do that, give me your name."
Me: "Sure thing (I say my name). Thanks a lot man
Duncan: No prob.

Me + Guestlist gets you this sort of face -> =D

Get into the gig at about half 7 and stand through the first support, who weren't bad but I can't remember their name, then, to my horror, The Noisettes come on -turns out they're one of the 2 supports. Laughed at how hilariously bad the Noisettes still are live, then waited for Maximo to come on, who were absolutely incredible; I honestly don't think I've seen a man bounce about so much, and the man has some moves as well.

Stood/bounced/swayed/fell/danced through the gig, then managed to get a setlist at the end of it all as well - Result =D

Height - Anyone who's had the pleasure of meeting me will notice that I'm 6'4. According to a friend, this makes me a freak, can't say I disagree. Being tall does have its advantages; You can usually see pretty much any gig, you can annoy small people (if you do so desire) and then there's the distinct advantage of being slightly intimidating when need be. However, when you're 6'4, you realise that the umbrella was invented for two things: Stopping rain, and stabbing tall people in the eyes. Now, if you're in warmer climes, this isn't much of a problem. However, due to the fact I live in Scotland, manouvering the city centre can become difficult.

Scotland - I love scotland, I love our nature, our surroundings, the fact we're responsible for Penicillin, The Telephone, and The US navy. I love our music, traditional and otherwise, I love our quirky nature, Neds? Can do without, but every rose has a thorn or two. I love how we can change and adapt, and still hold certain things close to our hearts, but arguably, most of all, I love our national anthem (unofficial, before anyone mentions how our de jure anthem is "God save the ~~sponger~~ queen".) It makes me shiver

Films -Films are one of those things to be honest. Perhaps I'm being unfair but I've never really watched many movies that I love that much, and even then, 9/10 times, I can only watch something once, hence why I think DVDs,- for me at least - are a huge waste of money. Maybe I don't have the attention span, maybe i don't like the fact that I can't imagine the characters "my" way like I can with a book, I like being able to immerse myself in things and I can't do that with movies.

Sciences - I'm geeky. I hold my hands up to it straight away. I love finding out how things work, always have. It used to get me into trouble though, taking apart your uncle's clock at the age of 5 isn't a good plan. I had a load of sciencey books as a kid, tried to mage a mppass with a cork and a needle and stuff like that. It wasn't until S2 that I realised Physics and Chemistry were really, really fun. I was always lucky in that I had really good teachers, and I think that's kind of influenced me to go into teaching - if I can do the same for one person, then I'll be happy.

Happiness - I don't really know what to say about happiness, it's something that eluded me for a long, long time, and has only recently emerged. I think being a little bit more independent has helped, because I really did feel suffocated, But now, I'm beginning to realise who and what I am, and it feels good.
